Consultations and Garden Coaching Terms and Fees

Consultations- $200/session-

A consultation usually takes 1 ½ to 2 hours on site plus two hours of studio time. Beyond that, there is a charge of $55/hour, including studio time. While on site, measurements and photos may be taken and taken back to the office for further consideration. These photos are mocked up with design suggestions and notes of what needs to be done.

Garden Coaching-  $175 minimum for first visit.

This includes 1 ½ to 2 hours of contact time on your site.

Subsequent visits $75/hour. Working individually with the homeowner, I teach while working in the garden.

Editing - $200 minimum, plus travel time.  Includes three hours of combined site and studio time.  $55 per hour after that.

 There are many reasons a garden needs editing. Your taste may have changed, your neighbor's trees may have matured, or have been removed changing your light, your plants filled in more than the tag suggested, or it no longer represents your style and taste. Generally, a design plan is not needed; a good edit is all that is required. We work with the clients to suggest new plantings and/or structures.


I work in most weather conditions. I will work if it is raining lightly, but will not work if it is pouring. I also have a "too hot" and "too cold" limit. This limit varies on the time of year and humidity.

Hours:  Please make an appointment.  Generally from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday on an as needed basis.
